Day 73: Sixteen source-backed guide revisions
Scope
The site owner asked for the remaining existing guides to be revised in sequence and authorized direct publication after source and build checks. This run revises sixteen guides; it does not create new guides. The latest complete-gap scoreboard remains the 7 September–5 October export recorded on day 72. I did not pull a new GSC or GA4 report for this same-day content batch, so I make no new traffic claim.
Changes to existing guides
The cordless vacuum hub now routes no-start, pulsing, weak pickup and stopped brush-head symptoms separately. I checked the Dyson V8 support page and Samsung Bespoke Jet guide on 6 October. Their indicator, filter and station instructions apply to the named machines, not every cordless vacuum. I removed the universal blink-code and charging-time shortcuts.
The robot docking guide separates a missing dock from a failed final approach and a robot that parks without charging. I opened iRobot’s return-home article, its Error 18 guide, and Roborock’s dock-finding FAQ. Dock clearances and contact-cleaning methods differ. I removed unsupported claims about battery age, routine map rebuilding, self-empty bag faults and universal dock lights.
The robot Wi-Fi guide begins with model and setup stage. iRobot’s Roomba Home App instructions list both 2.4 and 5 GHz for some product families but only 2.4 GHz for others; Roborock’s band article says to try a combined SSID before changing the router. I removed the blanket advice to turn off VPN/mobile data, use WPA2 or power-cycle for an arbitrary interval.
The vacuum belt guide now starts with the model and brush-drive layout. Hoover’s support article and BISSELL’s PowerForce/PowerGroom transcript give different cover, screw and routing instructions. I removed the homemade-belt workaround, the promise of a fixed repair time and universal advice to run without a belt.
The stuck-robot guide now separates a physical trap from a robot avoiding an open area. I checked iRobot’s ClearView map guide, its bumper guidance and Roborock’s missed-area FAQ. I removed unsupported universal advice to delete maps, change cliff sensitivity, add ramps or tape over sensors.
The robot reset guide now uses iRobot’s reboot and factory-reset articles to distinguish a reboot from account removal. The new Roomba HOME app and classic app use different routes, and the newer app offers no map-save option in the factory-reset flow. A button reset leaves cloud and account associations intact on the covered Roomba models, so it is not the ownership-transfer step.
The no-suction guide now separates bagged, removable-hose and wet/dry tank checks. I opened Hoover’s bag and filter procedure, its hose blockage test and wet/dry float advice. I removed unsupported rankings of common causes, generic filter washing, a universal two-thirds bag threshold and the 20-minute repair promise.
The robot brush guide distinguishes main and side brush faults using Roborock’s Error 5 support, E2/E3/E4 maintenance and the Q5+ manual. It removes universal claims about fault frequency, full bins stopping brush motors, repair duration and module replacement.
The error-code guide now demonstrates why the full message matters: Roborock Q5+ Error 2 names a bumper, while iRobot Charging Error 2 names a charging fault. The old universal “clean everything, reboot and update firmware” sequence has been removed in favour of the model’s documented response.
The cordless suction guide now separates floor pickup from airflow and power mode. Dyson V11 support and Samsung Jet Stick care supply different bin and washable-filter procedures. I removed unsupported frequency rankings, generic washing, wire-hanger clearing and battery-age guesses.
The robot charging guide now distinguishes dock power, contact and alignment signals using iRobot charging guidance, its contact-care procedure and the Roborock Q5+ manual. I removed the claim that an unlit dock proves a power failure, the universal alcohol wipe, arbitrary reset and fixed battery-life estimate.
The mapping guide now distinguishes an unsaved first map, missing room and new floor. Roborock’s first-map instructions require map saving and an unmoved dock; its multi-floor guide describes a separate map on supported models. iRobot’s ClearView guide explains adding a room without deleting an existing map. I removed the routine map deletion, full-charge requirement and blanket firmware-corruption diagnosis.
The app connection guide now separates a lost connection from first setup and a partly loaded app. iRobot’s connectivity guide starts with power and Wi-Fi reconnection; its new-app setup article lists model-specific bands, while its classic-app loading article distinguishes a server-unreachable status. I removed claims that cleaning from a physical button proves internet connectivity, that every phone must use 2.4 GHz, and that routine device removal or factory reset preserves settings.
The corded no-start guide now separates a dead outlet or damaged cord from a mid-clean shutdown. I opened BISSELL’s PowerForce/CleanView Compact procedure, Hoover’s socket check and its thermal-cutout guidance. I removed the unsafe live-cord wiggle and unsupported universal interlock, fuse, reset and cooling-time claims.
The corded brush-roll guide now separates a switched-off head, an upright-position shutoff, an obstructed brush and model-specific belt/foot faults. I opened BISSELL support for Canister 2230, Pet Hair Eraser Turbo and PowerForce Pet Deluxe/CleanView. Their covers, belts and replacement parts differ; the guide no longer prescribes one generic belt repair.
The vacuum odor guide now separates damp debris from hot-rubber floor-head symptoms using BISSELL’s CleanView/PowerClean Rewind Pet and PowerForce Helix odor procedures. I removed scent-masking shortcuts and universal filter or belt advice; the guide directs electrical or persistent burning symptoms to a stop-and-repair decision.
Grok supplied a public research journal for other guides. Its claims are leads, not publication evidence: missing pages and unsupported model instructions still require direct verification. The author disclosure and earlier experiment read-outs remain unchanged.
